Lumia 800, Ponsel Windows Pertama Nokia

Ponsel Windows Phone pertama dari Nokia akhirnya lahir di ajang Nokia World yang sedang berlangsung di London. Dinamakan Nokia Lumia 800, handset ini memakai sistem operasi Windows Phone 7.5 atau Mango.

Aliansi Nokia dan Microsoft diharapkan dapat menanding keperkasaan iPhone dan Android di pasar smartphone. Nokia Lumia 800 pun jadi senjata awal Nokia untuk mewujudkan ambisi tersebut.

"Kami yakin dunia siap untuk sesuatu yang baru. Saya senang memperkenalkan pada Anda Nokia Lumia 800. Lumia adalah Windows Phone pertama yang real," ucap CEO Nokia, Stephen Elop, ketika memperkenalkan Lumia 800.

Nokia Lumia 800 adalah handset high end dan akan dibanderol di kisaran 420 euro. Spesifikasinya seperti layar 3.7 inch AMOLED, prosesor 1,4 GHz, RAM 512MB, HD video playback dan 16GB memori internal. Sedangkan kamera beresolusi 8 megapixel lengkap dengan flash.

Windows Phone sendiri saat ini masih sangat kecil pangsa pasarnya, yakni sekitar 1,6%. Kemitraan dengan Nokia diharapkan melesatkan platform andalan Microsoft ini.
